The Path to Spanish Citizenship

More Than a Document, an Identity

You have been living in Spain for some time. You have laughed, you have cried, and you have grown here. This country is already part of you, but you lack the final recognition: being a citizen with full rights. Obtaining nationality is the final step of your migration journey, the moment when you stop being a "foreigner" to become, simply, one more.

"Nationality is not just a passport; it is the feeling of full belonging. It is closing one cycle and beginning a new one with all rights."

Your Right to Be Spanish

Spanish Nationality by Residency is the process by which, after residing legally in Spain for the required time (1, 2, 5, or 10 years depending on your case), you acquire citizenship. This grants you the Spanish passport (one of the most powerful in the world), the right to vote, and European Union citizenship.
