Required Residency Time:
- 10 years: General regime
- 5 years: Refugees or asylum seekers
- 2 years: Ibero-American nationals, Andorra, Philippines, Equatorial Guinea, Portugal, or Sephardic Jews
- 1 year:
- Born in Spain
- Guardianship, custody, or foster care in Spain
- Married to a Spanish citizen (1 year of marriage)
- Widowed from a Spanish citizen

- Legal and continuous residence in Spain
- Good civic conduct
- Sufficient integration into Spanish society
- Pass CCSE (constitutional knowledge) and DELE A2 (Spanish) exams
- Lack of criminal record
Exam Exemptions:
- Minors under 18 years old (CCSE and DELE)
- Over 65 years old (CCSE)
- Persons with disabilities (depending on degree)
- Nationals of Spanish-speaking countries (DELE)
