EU Registration Certificate: Your Right as a European

Europe is Your Home

As a citizen of the European Union, you have the right to live and work in Spain. However, if you will be residing for more than 3 months, you are required to register with the Central Register of Foreign Nationals. This procedure is essential to formalize your situation and access public and private services.

"Free movement is a right, but registration is your duty. Get your 'Green NIE' and reside with full guarantees."

The "Green NIE"

The EU Citizen Registration Certificate is the community residence certificate, known as the Green NIE for community citizens or NIE for Europeans due to the color of the document. It certifies that an EU citizen resides legally in Spain. It is not a plastic card with a photo, but rather a paper certificate (or small paper card) that you must carry together with your passport or national ID from your country.

Fast and Direct Procedure

At Legal & Cloud, we facilitate your registration:

  1. Prior Appointment: Getting a police appointment can be difficult; we manage availability.
  2. Documentary Review (Green NIE requirements and documentation to apply for Green NIE): We ensure you meet the requirements (worker, student, or with own resources) to avoid wasted trips.
  3. Assistance: We explain exactly what to present on the day of the appointment (it is an in-person procedure).

The Destination: EU Resident

With this certificate, you will have your definitive NIE number and will be able to carry out any economic or legal activity in Spain as a legal resident.
